Review: b-Vibe Triplet and Cinco Anal Beads

Content note: brief mention of sexual violence and trauma.

One of the many perks of having b-Vibe as a sponsor for my recent trip to Woodhull’s Sexual Freedom Summit? Getting to test their innovative line of anal toys!

Thanks so much to b-Vibe for sending me the Triplet and Cinco to test and compare for my first-ever anal toy review on Formidable Femme!

Bead Beginner

As a survivor of sexual violence with specific trauma around anal sex, delving into the realm of anal toys often feels like navigating uncharted, choppy waters. I’m definitely on the “beginner” end of the spectrum when it comes to anal play, which can be intimidating all on its own. With the plethora of anal toy options on the market, it can be difficult to know where to begin.

Luckily, b-Vibe makes it incredibly easy for newbies to learn about and experiment with anal toys in engaging and inviting ways. Not only do they create innovative, fun products that break sex toy molds, b-Vibe doesn’t play into the “taboo,” “secretive,” or “naughty” tropes and stigmas that often permeate our culture (and the sex toy industry), especially when it comes to anal play. They simply present anal play as something that everyone can try if they want to—because everyone has a butt!

b-Vibe’s sex education-grounded mission and marketing is affirming for people like me who are just starting to explore new areas of pleasure. That’s no small feat—and it’s a refreshing, much-needed approach in this industry.

b-Vibe Triplet

The b-Vibe Triplet

The Triplet is the smaller set of b-Vibe’s two vibrating anal bead offerings. It has 4.6 inches of insertable length and the widest bead is 1.2 inches in diameter. It has three flexible, tapered beads, with motors in the bottom two.

Like all of b-Vibe’s products, the Triplet is body-safe and made out of delightfully smooth silicone. It’s also splash-proof and boasts 6 vibration intensity levels and 15 vibration patterns. Just like you can use the Triplet with or without vibration, you can also use it with or without its wireless remote control, which works up to 30 feet away.

I try to approach toy testing without any specific expectations, but after nearly four years of sex toy reviewing and product testing, I know my likes and dislikes pretty well. Because I don’t like internal vibration vaginally, I (very, very wrongfully) assumed the same might be true for anal stimulation. I’m rarely surprised by sex toys these days—but the Triplet did just that!

The Triplet was comfortable to insert without much warm up. I was able to insert two beads, with the third bead resting just outside. Unlike other bendy and floppy anal bead sets I’ve unsuccessfully tried before, the Triplet is a bit more rigid, which makes it much easier to use. I started off using the Triplet without any vibrations and grabbed my tried-and-true favorite wand vibrator, hoping that the beads would give me a fuller feeling that could add to an orgasm.

And then I turned the Triplet on. The vibrations felt incredible. In my toy testing notes, I have “There’s sensation coming from EVERYWHERE!” written down, and while it’s not exactly eloquent, it’s true. With two beads inserted, I could feel vibration internally and externally. Combined with the Iconic Wand rumbling away on my vulva, I had a prolonged, deep orgasm, leaving the Triplet inserted to help me ride the wave back down until I was completely spent.

I thought I might like the feeling of fullness anal toys provide, but I had no idea I would love internal anal vibration so much. Now, the Triplet has a coveted spot on the top shelf of my sex toy bedside cart—a place reserved for the cream of the crop of my collection.

Who might the Triplet be good for? The Triplet and Cinco are similar in many ways except length, so if you’re looking for high-quality anal beads with lots of vibration settings and remote control capabilities, both are good options. I would specifically recommend the Triplet for beginning or intermediate-level anal toy users—or for people who are butt toy enthusiasts but might not be size queens. It can be tempting to want to test big toys, but with anal play, slow and steady wins the race. There’s no rush to use the biggest toy on the market—or even insert all of the beads of your smaller toy!

b-Vibe Cinco

The b-Vibe Cinco

The Cinco is the larger set of b-Vibe’s anal beads. It has 7.4 inches of insertable length—nearly 3 inches more than the Triplet—and the widest bead is 1.3 inches in diameter. It has five flexible, tapered beads, with motors in the bottom three.

Like the Triplet, the Cinco is silicone, splash-proof, has 6 vibration intensity levels and 15 patterns, and comes with a remote.

Given that I’m on the beginning end of the spectrum when it comes to anal play, it probably won’t surprise anyone reading this to learn that the Cinco was a bit too large for me. Like the Triplet, I was able to comfortably use the Cinco, but only inserted three out of the five beads, leaving half the toy’s length outside of my body. Eventually, I would like to be able to work up to using the entire length of the Cinco, but I’ll keep practicing with the Triplet until then.

Who might the Cinco be good for? I would recommend the Cinco to intermediate or advanced-level anal toy users who like lengthier toys. If you’re just starting out with anal play or if you simply prefer smaller toys, the Cinco is one you’ll likely want to work up to. Consider trying the Triplet first to see if this style of toy is one you’d like to explore further.

One thing I particularly love about b-Vibe is that they offer a number of similar products in various sizes. The Triplet and the Cinco are just one example—they also carry a Rimming Plug and a Rimming Plug Petite, five non-vibrating weighted plugs, and a slew of other products that can help you train to use larger toys.

This kind of size-up product offering is especially useful when deciding which toy to get. Toys on the smaller end of b-Vibe’s product ranges are less expensive and can help beginners see if they’re into a certain style of toy or type of sensation. When you’re ready to work up to something larger, try the next size up in the product line. There’s no shame in starting small!

Many thanks to b-Vibe for sending me the Triplet and Cinco to review!
